Gallatin R-5 Superintendent James Ruse was award the Administrator of the Year award by the Missouri Music Educators during their 70th annual conference held at Tan-Tar-A resort Jan. 23-26.
Pictured, left to right, are the Gallatin FCCLA members who were elected at the end of January as the Region 2 officers, Abbey Ray, regional recreation leader, Taylor Porter, regional parliamentarian, and Sydney Elbert, regional 1st vice-president. On March 26, they will be installed into office.

Myrtle Irene (Jarrett) Minter of Lexington, Mo., passed away on Feb. 22, 2008, at Shirkey’s Leisure Acres in Richmond, Mo. Myrtle was born Sept. 18, 1917, in McFall, Mo., to Ross and Etta (Boyle) Jarrett.
On Nov. 29, 2007, South Harrison High School graduate Jonathan Best, graduated from the Kansas City Regional Police Academy in Kansas City.
Lonnie and Nancy Mikes of Pattonsburg will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, in the fellowship hall of McCarthy Baptist Church in St. Joseph.
