| The 2010 Daviess County Spelling Bee was held at Searcy Elementary in Gallatin on Feb. 12, 2010. Champion A of the competition was seventh grader Miranda Weigand from Winston R-6. Miranda won the spelling bee in the 17th round by spelling the word “ambulance” correctly. Champion B was sixth grader Jaylee Baker of Gallatin. Alternate will be fifth grader Delilah Gadd of Winston
