Daviess County Commissioners were in Jefferson City last week for a Missouri Association of Counties Conference. While visiting the Capitol, they met with Rep. The 2010 Daviess County Spelling Bee was held at Searcy Elementary in Gallatin on Feb. 12, 2010. Champion A of the competition was seventh grader Miranda Weigand from Winston R-6. Miranda won the spelling bee in the 17th round by spelling the word “ambulance” correctly. Champion B was sixth grader Jaylee Baker of Gallatin. Alternate will be fifth grader Delilah Gadd of Winston
