Katie Jarboe, daughter of Terry and Mary Jarboe of Gallatin, has been selected as the recipient of a $1,000 Farm Credit Services of Missouri scholarship. She plans to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia, majoring in ag business management. Farm Credit Services established the scholarship program in 2004 to encourage and support higher education for dependents of their members. Applicants must be a graduating senior at a Missouri high school, a direct dependent of a Farm Credit Services of Missouri member, and planning to attend a Missouri college or university. Applicants must also have a minimum 2.5 GPA, an ACT score of at least 26 or rank in the top 20% of their senior class. One scholarship recipient was selected from each of the 29 Farm Credit Services branch offices in Missouri. There were also six at-large recipients who were also selected. The presentation to Katie was made by Elaine Bohannon, Ag Insurance Specialist, FCS of Missouri, Cameron Branch Office, prior to Gallatin’s annual FFA banquet on May 3.
