Pictured are Frank Ausborn and Sallie (Henderson) Woodruff; daughter, Frankie (Woodruff) Tolbert has head turned; and granddaughter, Francis. On the ladders are unidentified local seasonal help. The picture was taken at the entrance to the south 50 acres of the pear orchard, approximately where (Frank Alan Woodruff’s) grain bins now stand. The white shed by the bins west of the Daviess County Country Club was the original sorting barn for the orchard. The west wall is hinged at the top to allow for open air transactions. Pear orchard ladders still line the walls of the shed.
