Gallatin R-5 High School senior Jon Youd has been selected for the 2006 Missouri Scholars 100, a statewide honor that recognizes Missouri’s top 100 students in this year’s graduating class. The students will receive their awards at a luncheon at the Holiday Inn Executive Center in Columbia on Sunday, April 30.
The Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals sponsors the program. Selection is based on a formula using the student’s grade point average and ACT or SAT score. In addition, students had to rank in the upper 10 percent of the class, have taken upper level classes, have excellent attendance and be involved in school activities.
