Kids Kamp is underway at Lake Viking The 14th annual Kids Kamp, made possible by gifts from the Lions Clubs in District 26F and hosted by the Lake Viking Club, is underway this week at Lake Viking. Kids Kamp welcomed 11 kampers and 12 kounselors for a total of 23 Kampers this year. Kids Kamp is a six day resident camp for visually impaired youth from all over the state of Missouri, ages 8 to 16. The kids took airplane flights on Monday. On Tuesday they gathered to fish at an area pond where several Lions Club members and agents from the Missouri Department of Conservation assisted. The kids also spend time in the water swimming and tubing. Lisa Hartley is this year’s Kids Kamp director.
