Memorial service was at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2006, at Christ Church Unity, Kansas City, Missouri.
The Roe family suggests that for memorials, in lieu of flowers, a charitable contribution be made in Iva’s memory to a charity of choice.
Iva Nell Huffman Roe was born in Lock Springs, Livingston County, Missouri, on March 18, 1929, the daughter of Claude Garland and Eva Grace Huffman of Winston, Mo.
Iva married Eugene Merle Roe on Sept. 26, 1948, and together they had five children.
She retired in 2001 after five years serving as President and Executive Director of Wegener’s Granulomatosis International in Kansas City, Mo.
Iva was preceded in death by her parents; youngest son, Jeffrey M. Roe; and a brother, Donald C. Huffman.
She gave love and care to many relatives and friends and love and care were given back to her many times over when she needed it. Thank you, God!
Survivors: son, Vic Roe and wife, Rickey, of King City, Mo.; daughters, Donna Hickman and husband, Wayne, of Fort Worth, Texas, Linda Roe of Kansas City, Mo., and Teresa Pitts and husband, Everett, of Columbus, Ohio; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Reta Pemberton and husband, Preston, of Independence, Mo., and Jessie Youtsey of Deming, N.M.; brothers, Richard B. Huffman and wife, Joyce, of Belton, Mo., and Larry Huffman of Seattle, Wash.; and many nieces and nephews.
