David was working on ideas for the artwork for the cover of the 9th Hour CD and began surfing through the web. He came up with an hourglass and sun dial design that he really liked, but didn’t want to copy somebody else’s work. He traced the sun dial to a man named Malcomb David White of Beckfoot Guest House in England and sent an e-mail asking for permission to use the picture. “He was ecstatic that we were even considering it,” David said. “His son was running through town yelling that 9th Hour was using his dad’s sun dial.” In an unusual coincidence, David also found out that Beckfoot Guest House was a retreat for blues guitar players. Dan Allen plays lead guitar and background vocal. Dee Dee plays light percussion and sings background. Ben Richards is the bass player. The other bass player Bryan Babbit is on all the tracts on the CD, but moved away recently. Brandon Hylton is drummer. Greg Green is sound man. Dan’s wife Kathy is in charge of merchandise for the band.
