The art and music departments at Gallatin R-5 School exhibited and performed in concert Friday to climax the school year. The spring band concert featured the 5th Grade Band, the 6th Grade Band, Junior High Band, and Gallatin's High School Concert Band all under the direction of Gene Edwards. Featured soloists playing pieces for which they were awarded top I ratings at state were Kevin Corwin on alto saxophone, Erica Freestone on flute, Phillip Arnold on trombone, and Lacy Edwards on bassoon. Also playing brief solo parts during the program played by the band were E.J. Owings, Kayle Hefley, Tye Humphrey, Kathryn Everly, Erica Freestone, Jamie Brinnen, Teresa Tairent, Abbey Ray, Marquis Wheeler, Truett Ray, John Corwin, Dereck Lin, Kevin Corwin and Anthony Jeffers.
