Gallatin High School art students, Jacob Collins, Sarah Smith, Sam Brickey and Elena Steele, participated in a program called The Memory Project. The Memory Project organization travels to orphanages in other parts of the world and takes photographs of the children. The photos are sent to high school art students who have volunteered to paint the children's portraits. The students write a note to the children on the back of the paintings. The artist's photos are also attached on the back of the painting so the children can see who painted their portraits. The paintings are mailed to The Memory Project which will deliver the paintings to the children. [Submitted Photo]
